Recover your data from external hard drive, Where data is Occupying space, But unable to show. OR
I'm unable to find data from external hard drive, But it's allocating space in drive.


Hi Guys,

I've also suffer from this problem, where i've used my external drive in LG LED Television,  I thought because of some virus my data have been hidden, So I check "show hidden" from my compute option but unable to find even after that.

I don't know exactly but after using some of the drive block were corrupt and because of that i were unable to access my most import data.

As you can see below, I've 1TB Hard drive, where i've used 403 GB of space but exactly It showing 283 GB of data.

I did some browsing over internet but unable to find the perfect solution, So here guys i'll let you know how i access my lost data.

Connect your hard drive to your computer:

My Computer -> Right click on drive -> Select Properties -> Click on Tool tab -> Check now -> Check on "Scan for and attempt recovery bad sectors".

Please find below Screenshot:

Click on "Start" and wait for 5-6 Hours +

After completion of this process I've received following report:

So, finally I Recovered my data after keeping patience of 7-8 Hours. Please find below output.

I'm Using "Transcend StoreJet 25M3 2.5-inch 1TB Portable External Hard Drive"
